For the second consecutive year, the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency has participated in the training plan of the Diputación de Valencia with the course “Alert systems, integrity and public ethics in public management”

The 15-hour course, divided into five sessions of three hours each, has been taught in person and online by specialized personnel at the service of the AVAF.

The students selected by the Provincial Council had the opportunity to delve into information systems in the first session of the course, by Miguel Furió, head of the AVAF Analysis Service, and how to set up a report mailbox in 60 minutes, from by Javier Alamà, head of the Agency’s Information Systems Service.

Irene Bravo, head of the Prevention Service, presented the initiatives in the field of legal prevention and public apparatuses in the second session of the course, while Teresa Clemente, deputy and affairs director of the AVAF shared with the students one of the primary functions of the Valencian Antifraud Agency, the protection of corruption whistleblowers.

The institutional integrity system of the Valencian Community was announced during the course by the director of the AVAF, Joan Llinares, while the costs of corruption were the focus of the presentation by Anselm Bodoque, head of the Training Service.

The most active participation by the students came from the practical workshop that closed the DIVAL – AVAF course, on integrity and the most common risks in public administration. Led by Marita Oliver, a training technician, Anselm Bodoque and Pilar Moreno, a technician from the Agency’s Training service, the attendees highlighted planning as the risk to be taken more into account in local entities. The learning experience ended with reflection on the conflict of interest as a prelude to corruption.
