More than 150 public employees in Aragon reinforce their knowledge in fraud prevention and conflicts of interest with the AVAF.

Valencia, March 12, 2025. The Aragonese Institute of Public Administration has organized the conference “Prevention of fraud and conflict of interest in the management of European funds” given by the Training Area of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF), with more than 150 attendees.

 

The session began with the intervention of Anselm Bodoque, acting coordinator of the Area of Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with other entities of the AVAF, who presented the institutional system of the fight against corruption, from the international framework of the United Nations to its application in Spain.

 

Next, Pilar Moreno, a technician in the area, highlighted the relevance of the culture of public integrity and the identification of risks of fraud and corruption in the administration.

 

For her part, Marita Oliver, technician in the AVAF Training Area, focused on the information systems established in Law 2/2023, of 20 February, regulating the protection of people who report regulatory breaches and the fight against corruption.

 

The day concluded with a participatory workshop-debate on the management of conflicts of interest, generating great interest among the attendees.

Fraud prevention and conflict of interest management, axes of AVAF training in the Generalitat Valenciana

Valencia, 4 and 27 February 2025. More than 65 PRTR programme managers from various Ministries of the Generalitat Valenciana have participated in the course “Concepts and responsibilities relating to the principles of prevention and fight against fraud, corruption and conflict of interest defined by Order HFP/1030/2021 and Reg. (EU) no. 241/2021”. The training has been given by a team from the Training Area of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) made up of Anselm Bodoque, Marita Oliver and Pilar Moreno.

 

The sessions, held in the auditorium of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Universities and Employment, addressed the institutional system and public policies to fight corruption in the Valencian Community.

 

Among the topics discussed were:

-The cycle of anti-fraud measures

-The obligation of internal information systems

-The proper management of the conflict of interest

 

The training had a high participation and interest on the part of public employees from various Ministries and entities of the Valencian instrumental public sector.

 

For the third consecutive year, the Directorates of Next Generation Funds Programmes and the AVAF have collaborated in training initiatives, with the commitment to continue promoting integrity in the management of public funds.

DocuforumAVAF brings ethics and integrity closer to the students of the IES Álvaro Falomir

Almassora. – February 19, 2025. For the second consecutive year, the students of 4th year of ESO History of the IES Álvaro Falomir have participated in DocuforumAVAF, a learning experience promoted by the Training Area of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.

 

Pilar Moreno García, training technician, presented to the students the origin, functions and work of the Agency in the fight against fraud and corruption in the Valencian Community, encouraging reflection on the importance of ethics and public integrity.
