The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency presents its educational project “Docuforum AVAF” at the XII NOVAGOB 2025 Congress in Barcelona

València, 28 d’octubre de 2025.- The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) has participated in the XII Public Innovation Congress – NOVAGOB 2025, held on October 27 and 28 at the World Trade Center in Barcelona, one of the leading meetings in the field of innovation in the Ibero-American public sector.

 

Pilar Moreno García, technician of the AVAF Training Area, took part in the round table “Ideas and cases of transformation and public innovation in public policies”, where she presented the project “AVAF Docuforum: A consolidated model of education for integrity with Valencian youth”.

 

During his speech, Moreno explained how this program has become an innovative tool for civic education, aimed at promoting critical thinking, public ethics and the active involvement of students in the face of corruption. The model combines the viewing of documentaries with debate in the classroom, generating spaces for reflection on democratic values and public integrity.

 

Since 2021, the AVAF Docuforum has reached more than 4,300 young people from 18 schools and 7 universities in the Valencian Community, thanks to the collaboration of more than 40 teachers. The project has evolved from the first university editions in 2018 to its implementation in schools, ESO, Baccalaureate and Vocational Training institutes, using participatory methodologies and gamification resources.

 

In its last four years of existence, the DocuforumAVAF has addressed issues such as the protection of whistleblowers of corruption, the importance of integrity in public management and the role of youth as agents of social change.

 

With initiatives such as this, the AVAF reinforces its commitment to the prevention of fraud and corruption, the promotion of public ethics and training in democratic values, fundamental pillars of its institutional work.

 

The AVAF takes the debate on corruption and public integrity to the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics of the University of Valencia

Valencia, 16 October 2025.–The Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia hosted a new training session of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF), developed under the already consolidated #DocuforumAVAF format.

 

The activity was held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Tarongers Campus and was aimed at first-year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. The session, which lasted 90 minutes, was attended by 40 enrolled students.

 

On behalf of the Agency, Mayte López, training technician of the AVAF, intervened. The main objective of the session was to make the students aware of the work carried out by the AVAF, with special attention to its functions, experiences and the exemplary value of corruption informants as a key pedagogical tool. The role of the Agency in the legal protection of whistleblowers was also addressed.

 

The session focused on raising awareness of the phenomenon of corruption and disseminating public integrity systems. In addition to the exhibition, the AVAF energized the activity through gamification techniques that allowed the students’ impressions to be collected. The students actively participated in the proposed dynamics and showed special interest in the administrative procedures and technological resources used in the Agency’s research.

 

The #DocuforumAVAF continues to consolidate itself as an effective educational tool to bring students closer to the real challenges of public integrity and the defence of the general interest.

Collaboration between AVAF and the Government of the Canary Islands to strengthen the integrity-based management of European funds

València, october 13, 2025.- The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) has participated in a new edition of the online course “Measures for the prevention, detection and correction of fraud and public integrity in the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR). Advanced Level”, organized by the MRR Sub-Directorate of the Government of the Canary Islands and the Canary Institute of Public Administration (ICAP).

 

“Public policies against corruption. From the United Nations to Spain. The institutional system against corruption in Spain.” was the lecture delivered by Anselm Bodoque, Head of Cabinet and Studies, and Pilar Moreno, Senior Officer of the Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with Other Entities Area, on behalf of AVAF.

 

The course, aimed at public employees, senior officials, and those responsible for PRTR management in the Canary Islands, seeks to strengthen the skills required to meet the challenges of a new culture of public management based on integrity, planning, effective implementation, and accountability.

 

AVAF continues to promote institutional collaboration and knowledge exchange with other administrations to foster more integrity-based, transparent, and responsible public management.
