In the fifth edition of the AVAF course, approved by the IVAP, 160 people have participated
Valencia, May 7, 2026.- The fifth edition of the AVAF course “Laws and strategies to fight corruption, for public integrity and the protection of people who report on regulatory violations” has come to an end.The course, approved by the IVAP, has brought together 160 public employees from the Valencian Community, Madrid, the Balearic Islands, Catalonia, Andalusia, and other autonomous communities.
The course was aimed at public employees of any public administration, including people who work in public companies or public universities, and preferably those with responsibility for the direct management of internal information systems, anti-fraud committees, managers of personnel files, recruitment and subsidies.
Registration for this fifth edition of the course exceeded 200 people, 160 were confirmed, 67% women. More than 90% of the students were from the Valencian Community. 35% from the local government, 44% from the instrumental public sector and 7% from universities.
The course began on April 15 with the participation of Anselmo Bodoque, head of Cabinet and studies, in an introduction on the situation of corruption and the fight against fraud in the national and international context. On the same day, the Training technicians Mayte López and Marita Oliver presented, respectively, the Valencian system of prevention and fraud of the Valencian Community and an introduction to Law 2/2023.
The training sessions on 22 April, the second day of the course, were led by Marita Oliver and dealt with the management of internal and external information systems in Law 2/2023 and the figure of the person responsible for internal information systems, in the first part of the morning, and the procedure for managing AVAF complaints. in the second half.
On April 29, the third day of the course, it was structured in three sessions. In the first, Marita Oliver presented the regulation of the protection of whistleblowers in regulatory laws, and the AVAF’s instruments for advice and protection of whistleblowers. And, in the second, Mayte López presented the conference on interest groups and future regulation in Spain. And finally, Pilar Moreno, closed the session of the day in the presentation of public integrity strategies in public administrations.
May 6 was dedicated to workshops, on general and sectoral risks to public integrity, as well as on public procurement, by Pilar Moreno. And the last participatory workshop on conflict of interest led by Pilar Moreno and Mayte López.
All sessions of the course were online. The course has combined interventions in the form of master classes, participatory debates, workshops and surveys with the aim of carrying out an agile and useful training activity.
