Valencia, 30 March 2026.- The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) participates for the first time in an Information Day for Heads of the Internal Information System, organised by the Business Confederation of the Valencian Community (CEV).
Law 11/2016, on the creation of the Agency, was amended by Law 5/2025, of 30 May, on fiscal measures, administrative and financial management, and organisation of the Generalitat, by which the Agency is constituted as an independent whistleblower protection authority in the Valencian Community and has the scope of application and functions provided for in Law 2/2023, that is, it includes the private sector in its scope of action.
The Information Day for Heads of the Internal Information System is motivated by the regulatory requirement of the notification of the responsible person to the independent authority, both in the Valencian Community and in the State. The objective of the Conference was to publicize the functions of the Agency and the obligations of the private sector derived from Law 2/2023, especially those related to the Internal Information System, as well as the notification and Registration of the Head of the Internal Information System to the AVAF as an independent authority in the Valencian Community.
On 30 March, the Information Day was held at the CEV headquarters in Valencia, in which members participated both in person and online, with a total of 66 people, of which 40 were women (61%) and 26 were men (39%).
On behalf of the Agency, Marita Oliver, Training Technician of the AVAF, and Elena Lacalle, Head of Prevention and Protection of Whistleblowers, participated. The Conference began with a presentation on the Internal Information System and the person responsible for it, as well as the registration with the AVAF. Subsequently, the different questions and doubts of the attendees were discussed.
