Algemesí, may 5, 2025.- The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) visits again the Nuestra Señora de la Salud – Maristas School, in Algemesí, with 1st year Baccalaureate students within the framework of Tutoring. This educational center was the first to host the activity, aimed at schools and institutes, in January 2022, since before, it was only carried out in universities.
The session was given by Pilar Moreno, senior training technician in the Area of Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with other entities of the AVAF, who has facilitated a space for reflection on the importance of public ethics, respect for the rules and the role of citizens in the prevention of corruption. Based on the viewing and analysis of audiovisual materials, the students discussed the risks to integrity and the need to have transparent and accountable institutions.
Training in public integrity among young people is one of the pillars of the AVAF’s educational action. Activities such as #DocuforumAVAF allow fundamental concepts such as transparency, accountability and civic engagement to be brought closer to students, thus promoting a democratic culture from the grassroots. The fact that this program reaches high school students is key to consolidating ethical attitudes before their incorporation into the university or professional environment.
