The AVAF and INAP strengthen their collaboration with the 6th edition of the course on the prevention of corruption in public administrations #FormaciónAVAF

Valencia, March 17, 2025. The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) has concluded the 6th edition of the course “Prevention of corruption in public administrations”, taught in collaboration with the National Institute of Public Administration (INAP).

 

Held from February 24 to March 17, 2025, the course has had 80 participants, 10 more than in the previous edition, reflecting the growing interest in this training. In this call, the course taught by the AVAF received a total of 723 applications, consolidating itself as a reference in the field.

 

The teaching team was made up of Anselm Bodoque, acting coordinator of the Area of Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with other entities of the AVAF, together with Pilar Moreno and Marita Oliver, training technicians of the Agency. Throughout the 15 hours of training, they have energized learning and encouraged debate on strategies to strengthen integrity in public management.

 

Since its first edition in October 2021, this course has been designed and tutored by the AVAF within the INAP’s continuous professional development program, in online mode. The training combines weekly synchronous sessions that promote interaction and the exchange of experiences among students from the Congress of Deputies, the Court of Auditors, the Nuclear Safety Council, the Cervantes Institute, the State Railway Safety Agency, various public universities, provincial councils, ministries, and city councils, such as those of Seville, Torre Pacheco, and Murcia, among others.

 

The alliance between INAP and AVAF continues to advance in its commitment to promote a culture of integrity in public institutions, contributing to the professionalization and improvement of management in the Spanish public sector.

 

For the second consecutive year, the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency will offer two editions of this course due to high demand. After receiving 557 applications, a total of 80 participants will participate in the 7th edition of the INAP-AVAF course “Preventing Corruption in Public Administrations,” which will take place from May 19 to June 9, 2025.

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency collaborates in the UNED university expert diploma on the person responsible for information systems of infringements of law

Valencia, March 13, 2025. The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) actively participates in the diploma of university expert Responsible for the information system on infringements of law, taught by the National University of Distance Education (UNED).


On 27 February, Elena Lacalle, coordinator of the AVAF’s Prevention, Whistleblower Protection and Legal Advice Area, spoke at the online session Activation of whistleblower protection mechanisms. Protection possibilities in internal systems.


Likewise, on 13 March, Miguel Furió, coordinator of the Agency’s Evaluation, Verification and Inspection Area, gave the session Data Protection in Internal Systems, as part of this same training programme.


The course, entitled Responsible for the information system on infringements of law (Law 2/2023 and reporting channels), is directed by Professor Javier Sierra and aimed at professionals with training in law, human resources or compliance systems. Its objective is to provide participants with the theoretical and practical tools necessary to perform the functions of the Head of the Internal Information System in the entities obliged by Law 2/2023.

More than 150 public employees in Aragon reinforce their knowledge in fraud prevention and conflicts of interest with the AVAF.

Valencia, March 12, 2025. The Aragonese Institute of Public Administration has organized the conference “Prevention of fraud and conflict of interest in the management of European funds” given by the Training Area of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF), with more than 150 attendees.

 

The session began with the intervention of Anselm Bodoque, acting coordinator of the Area of Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with other entities of the AVAF, who presented the institutional system of the fight against corruption, from the international framework of the United Nations to its application in Spain.

 

Next, Pilar Moreno, a technician in the area, highlighted the relevance of the culture of public integrity and the identification of risks of fraud and corruption in the administration.

 

For her part, Marita Oliver, technician in the AVAF Training Area, focused on the information systems established in Law 2/2023, of 20 February, regulating the protection of people who report regulatory breaches and the fight against corruption.

 

The day concluded with a participatory workshop-debate on the management of conflicts of interest, generating great interest among the attendees.
