IES Honori García once again opens its classrooms to integrity with #DocuforumAVAF

La Vall d’Uixò, 12 may, 2025.- For the second consecutive year, IES Honori García in La Vall d’Uixò (Castellón) hosted the #DocuforumAVAF activity in its 1st year of baccalaureate classrooms, thanks to the collaboration of teacher Ivana Nevot.

 

Students of the subject “Legal and Democratic Culture” learned about the work of the institution with Pilar Moreno García, training officer at AVAF, who explained the Agency’s functions within the Valencian Community:

  • Protection of whistleblowers.
  • Evaluation, verification, and inspection of reports received through the external whistleblowing channel.
  • Training on integrity and prevention of fraud and corruption in the public sector.

 

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency contributes to the United Nations’ #UnitedAgainstCorruption initiative through the #DocuforumAVAF program and through seminars and courses it offers in public institutions throughout the region.

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency approves its first Strategic Plan 2025-2031

València, 8 may, 2025.- The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) has approved its first Strategic Plan for the period 2025-2031, a document that sets out the lines, guidelines, objectives and priority actions to advance in the prevention and reduction of fraud and corruption, as well as to contribute to the improvement of institutional quality and public integrity in the administrations of the Valencian Community.

 

The Strategic Plan 2025-2031 is structured around four major strategic objectives:

  1. Strengthening of the AVAF’s institutional position , through a greater presence in the academic and professional fields, and collaboration with other national and international agencies and bodies in the fight against fraud and corruption.
  2. Modernisation of the organisation, betting on innovative technological tools that improve its efficiency and the Agency’s response capacity.
  3. Promotion of integral, transparent and effective public management, through actions such as the preparation of a biannual research plan and other initiatives to improve efficiency in research planning and control.
  4. Promotion of public awareness of public ethics and good governance, with actions aimed at training in integrity and transparency, the promotion of an ethical culture in society as a whole and effective protection.

 

The Plan also incorporates specific mechanisms to ensure its monitoring and evaluation, such as the creation of a monitoring committee, the definition of performance indicators, the carrying out of periodic audits and a biennial review of the document itself to adapt it to new challenges and needs.

 

With the approval of this first Strategic Plan, the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency reaffirms its commitment to transparency, integrity and continuous improvement in the fight against corruption in the Valencian Community.
