The activities of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency in the universities of the Valencian Community are being very active at the beginning of the academic year, this being the fifth in less than a month.
The last docufòrum took place at the Faculty of Law of the University of Valencia, on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, with the attendance of 81 students from the subject of Skills and Skills of the Degree in Criminology.
Having seen the documentary “Corruption: Harmful Organism”, the students’ questions focused on the origin and causes of corruption, its effect and costs, the perception of corruption in our society and with respect to other neighboring countries , what to do in cases of corruption. In the same debate, he took the opportunity to talk about public ethics and integrity, as well as prevention and civic education. The regulatory framework, specific functions and scope of competence of the Agency were explained.
In the debate, the students especially insisted on the protection of the whistleblowers and on the guarantees of maintaining the anonymity of the whistleblowers.
The activity has been organized in collaboration with the University of Valencia, which we thank for its interest and willingness to help create a culture of public integrity and rejection of fraud and corruption.
