The IES Antoni Llidó in Xàbia, new stop for the #DocuforumAVAF

The Training Service of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency visits the town of Jávea, in the Marina Alta region, for the first time with #DocuforumAVAF.

The activity designed to publicize the work of the AVAF in the Valencian Community among 4th year ESO and high school students has visited the three provinces of the autonomous community since January 2024 with sessions in the towns of Algemesí and Vall d’ Uixó, which is now joined by Jávea in Alicante.

The Antoni Llidó Secondary Education Institute has been the first this school year in which two docuforums have been held on the same day. Pilar Moreno García, AVAF training technician, traveled to the town of Jávea on Thursday, March 7 for the occasion.

The activity was aimed at students in the 4th year of ESO and 1st year of high school studying the subjects of economics and business promotion, thanks to the collaboration of teacher Aina Moragues.

The protagonists of the learning experience have been 60 students and alumni in total, who after watching the documentary “Corruption: harmful organism” by Pandora Box TV in the classroom, shared their doubts and questions about the issues raised in the documentary to be . results by the AVAF technical training technician who visited their classrooms.

The protection conditions for informants regarding regulatory infractions offered by the AVAF, as well as the penalties imposed related to corruption crimes, were some of the questions posed by IES Antoni Llidó students.

With this new training action, the AVAF continues to contribute to the prevention of fraud and corruption through debate between students who will soon become full citizens.

Staff of the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) visit the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency again

València, March 15, 2024.- A new delegation from the Italian National Anti-Corruption Authority (ANAC) has visited the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, to continue with the exchange of experiences and procedures initiated last year.

This is the second visit to Valencia made by the Italian authority, after the one carried out last September 2023 and the subsequent visit of AVAF staff to the ANAC headquarters in Rome.

On this occasion, ANAC technicians from the area of institutional relations and computer systems have delved into different areas such as the implementation of new computer tools and collaboration with other anti-fraud and anti-corruption organizations.

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency thus strengthens its relationship with this European institution to obtain synergies and share experiences.

Ethical codes, protagonists of the new formation of the AVAF

The importance of ethical codes as true frameworks of public integrity has been highlighted in the new training session given by the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.

By virtue of the existing collaboration between the General Directorate of Transparency of the Generalitat Valenciana, the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Province, the Valencia Provincial Council, the Castellón Provincial Council, the Alicante Provincial Council, the University of Valencia and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, an online conference, 3 and a half hours long, was held. The institutional welcome was given by José Tàrrega, general director of transparency of the GVA and the FVMP.

Irene Bravo Rey, Director of Prevention, Training and Documentation of the Agency, starred in the main conference of the day “How to develop an ethical code so that it is a true framework of public integrity.”

In his presentation, 12 tools were presented for the development of an ethical code that articulate a new toolbox for the promotion of this operational instrument.

In the second part of the day, Bernabé Aldeguer Cerdá and Gonzalo Pardo Beneyto, professors of Political Science and Administration at the University of Valencia; and María Ángeles Abellán López, professor of Sociology and Anthropology at the UV, presented the institutional integrity survey at the local level that they invite all local entities of the Valencian Community to complete.

The training session had the participation of more than 50 public employees from the Valencian Community.
