Unisocietat in Alzira

The director of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, Joan Llinares. participated on November 24 in a new training activity within the Unisocietat program. This time in the town of Alzira, capital of the Valencian region of Ribera Alta.

Llinares presented the conference entitled “Is justice equal for all? Prevention and punishment of corruption »by the UJI-UV Professor of Criminal Law, Luis González Cussac. After the conference, attendees were able to engage in an enriching discussion with the speaker and the director of the AVAF.

The Unisocietat program, sponsored by the AVAF, was created to sensitize society in general about the value of lifelong learning, highlighting and appreciating the valuable contribution that older people make to society. Stimulating debate and the exchange of information to develop mutual learning.

Seasonal University in Xàtiva

On November 24, the III edition of the Xàtiva Seasonal University took place, organized by the University of Valencia with the presentation and sponsorship of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.

This edition has focused on the objectives of sustainable development and the application of virtual reality in cultural destinations and has been broadcast electronically, adapting to the health situation.

The conference was presented by Silvia Vèrnia, Director of the AVAF Training and Prevention Area, and was attended by the Mayor of Xàtiva Roger Cerdà and the Rector of the University of València Mavi Mestre, accompanied by the Vice-Rector for Territorial Projection and Society of the UV, Jorge Hermosilla; the Coordinator of the Seasonal University of Xàtiva, Gregorio García; and representatives of the Valencia Provincial Council and Caixa Popular.

New edition of Docufòrum organized by the University of Valencia and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency

On November 20, a new edition of Docufòrum was held, organized by the University of Valencia and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency. On this occasion, the Professor of Human Geography, Joan Romero; the director of the AVAF, Joan Llinares and professor Óscar Barberá who acted as moderator of the day.
This Docufòrum activity is aimed at students of political science, law and sociology at the University of Valencia and it analyzes the phenomenon of corruption and its consequences. To follow and participate in the debate, the students had previously seen the documentary “Corruption: harmful organism” in which some of the effects caused by this type of criminal activity are collected, so they actively participated with their suggestions and questions related to the same.
