The Valencian Antifraud Agency explains the strategy for preventing and fighting corruption and for public integrity in the Valencian Community in the selective course of the INAP Superior Body of Civil Administrators of the State.
On Tuesday, November 2, the National Institute of Public Administration invited the Valencian Antifraud Agency to explain its experience as an antifraud agency with the new promotion of State Civil Administrators, who are currently in the middle of the selective course.
INAP, an international benchmark in the training of personnel employed at the service of public administrations, also organizes and manages the processes and selective courses of the bodies of the General State Administration.
The Superior Body of Civil Administrators of the State is the group of public officials essential in the execution of the actions of direction, management, advice and study in relation to the different public policies developed by the General Administration of the State, both in its central organs of the ministries and state public agencies as well as in the peripheral administration and abroad. The group, of a multidisciplinary nature and with horizontal functions that can be developed in different departments, has four different branches to join it: legal, social sciences, economics and technical.
The director of the AVAF, Joan Llinares focused his intervention on explaining the work carried out by the Agency in terms of prevention, training, investigation and protection of whistleblowers of corruption.
The presentation of the general lines of work of the Agency has generated an intense debate with the students aimed at finding out if the agencies and offices for the fight against corruption have sufficient personal and material resources to carry out their work. In the same way, the students asked about the main obstacles that agencies have to face in their daily work, as well as about the reasons why there is so much time delay in the transposition of European directives against corruption, or the delay in judicial processes related to corruption.
The director of the AVAF has highlighted the need for a state anti-fraud agency, to improve the uses of technological tools and has stressed that at this time there is a lack of financial means and sufficient human resources to adequately combat fraud and corruption. both in the judicial sphere and in anti-fraud agencies.
The director of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency has ended his speech by thanking INAP for the invitation and wished all the students much success in their professional future as officials of the Superior Body of Civil Administrators of the State.
