The IES Bernat Guinovart of Algemesí hosts the #DocuforumAVAF

#TrainingAVAF

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency visits the town of Algemesí again with the #DocuforumAVAF learning experience.

The students of the “Economics” subject of the first year of the Baccalaureate, with the collaboration of the teacher Teresa Caballero, have had the opportunity to learn about the institutional integrity system of the Valencian Community and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.

The viewing of the documentary “Corruption: harmful organism” on Pandora Box TV, in a first session, allowed the students to learn about the testimonies of informants of corruption in the public sector and the reprisals to which they were subjected.

On Thursday, May 4, the Agency’s training technician, Pilar Moreno, visited the IES Bernat Guinovart with the aim of sharing with the more than 30 students the functions and objectives of the AVAF. The institution created by “Les Corts” in response to the mandate contained in the United Nations Convention against Corruption of 2003 of the UN, aroused great interest among the students.

When and who founded the AVAF, how much pressure a complainant can suffer, how the money stolen by corruption is recovered, as well as what is the effect of corruption on social inequality or what are the micro and macroeconomic effects of corruption were some of the many and varied questions formulated by the students of the IES Bernat Guinovart.

The Valencian Antifraud Agency through #DocuforumAVAF has the opportunity to show in the classrooms of schools, institutes and universities throughout the Valencian Community the work of promoting integrity and public ethics, as well as the protection of informants of corruption and the AVAF complaints mailbox.
