Unisocietat in Cullera

On Tuesday, November 10, 2020, a conference was held in Cullera within the UNISOCIETAT program promoted by the Vice-Rector’s Office for Participation and Territorial Projection of the University of Valencia together with the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.

The conference was presented by Silvia Vèrnia, Director of the AVAF Training and Prevention Area, and was attended by the Professor of Constitutional Law of the University of València, Rosario Serra, who offered a conference with the title “Are we alone and defenseless against fake news and information manipulation? ”. Once the conference was over, an open debate was held among all those attending.

The UNISOCIETAT program aims to provide training to all those who have a desire to learn by taking the university to different locations in our geographical area.

Journalism students from the Miguel Hernandez University participate in the Docufórum activity organized together with the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency

On November 5, a total of 55 second-year students of the Degree in Journalism at the Miguel Hernández University (UMH) participated in a Docufòrum activity organized by the university together with the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.
The objective of this activity is for students to debate the phenomenon of corruption as a preventive measure while seeking to create public ethics and integrity.
The activity consisted of the screening of the documentary “Corruption: harmful organism” in which the effects that cause corruption are collected to later establish a debate on different aspects of corruption in which personnel from the prevention area of ​​the Valencian Antifraud Agency participated. .
The students have participated actively by answering a questionnaire before and after, as well as asking questions about the operation and follow-up by the agency of the complaints that reach this institution.
The activity has been coordinated by the professor of the Political Science area, Victoria Rodríguez Blanco and the director of the Prevention and training area of ​​the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, Silvia Vèrnia and has been carried out in a dual way with 40 students participating through Google Meet and the rest in person.

Seasonal Universities in Castell d’Alaquàs

On Thursday, October 15, 2020, the 3rd edition of the Seasonal Universities program was held in Castell d’Alaquàs, promoted by the Vice-Rector for Territorial Projection and Society of the University of València together with the Valencia Provincial Council, the Alaquàs City Council, Caixa Popular and the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency.
The conference brought together professionals from different fields who discussed infrastructure and mobility in the Horta Sud region from a historical perspective and with a vision of the future.
On behalf of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency, the Director of Prevention, Training and Documentation, Sílvia Vèrnia, participated, who presented the conference sponsored by the AVAF that was given by Carmen Montalba, professor at the University of Valencia and co-director of the Chair of Participation, Open Government and Open Data.
