Riba-roja de Túria reinforces its commitment to institutional integrity with a training day of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency

Riba-roja de Túria, October 22, 2025.– “Culture of integrity. From prevention to internal information systems” was the conference organized by the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF) that brought together public employees from various municipal areas of the City Council of Riba-roja de Túria.

 

The opening of the day was given by Jose Ángel Hernández Carrizosa, member of the anti-fraud committee and Councilor for Public Finance, Public Procurement, Administration and General Services, who welcomed the attendees and highlighted the importance of consolidating a preventive culture against fraud and corruption as part of the daily operation of the administration.

 

On behalf of the AVAF, Anselm Bodoque, head of the Agency’s cabinet and studies, presented the institutional framework of integrity and explained the role of the Agency in accompanying local entities to promote robust prevention systems.

Subsequently, Mayte López, training technician of the Area of Training, Participation, Communication and Relations with other entities of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency addressed the institutional system of the fight against corruption from the perspective of the Valencian Community.

 

Pilar Moreno, a technician in the Training Area, analysed the existing risks in decision-making and the importance of rigorously planning administrative processes to avoid errors and bad practices. In his speech, he recalled that “knowing the risks is the first step to prevent them”.

 

The day continued with the intervention of Marita Oliver, technician of the Training Area, who presented the main novelties of Law 2/2023 in terms of internal information systems and external reporting channels. The management of conflicts of interest generated an intense exchange of opinions among the attendees, highlighting the growing awareness of public ethics at the municipal level.

 

With this new awareness day, the AVAF and the City Council of Riba-roja de Túria reaffirm their commitment to the construction of a culture of integrity in local administration, understood not only as a legal obligation, but as a fundamental value to strengthen institutions and improve the confidence of residents. The AVAF takes the debate on corruption and public integrity to the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics of the University of Valencia

Valencia, 16 October 2025.–The Faculty of Economics of the University of Valencia hosted a new training session of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF), developed under the already consolidated #DocuforumAVAF format.

 

The activity was held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 at the Tarongers Campus and was aimed at first-year students of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics. The session, which lasted 90 minutes, was attended by 40 enrolled students.

 

On behalf of the Agency, Mayte López, training technician of the AVAF, intervened. The main objective of the session was to make the students aware of the work carried out by the AVAF, with special attention to its functions, experiences and the exemplary value of corruption informants as a key pedagogical tool. The role of the Agency in the legal protection of whistleblowers was also addressed.

 

The session focused on raising awareness of the phenomenon of corruption and disseminating public integrity systems. In addition to the exhibition, the AVAF energized the activity through gamification techniques that allowed the students’ impressions to be collected. The students actively participated in the proposed dynamics and showed special interest in the administrative procedures and technological resources used in the Agency’s research.

 

The #DocuforumAVAF continues to consolidate itself as an effective educational tool to bring students closer to the real challenges of public integrity and the defence of the general interest.

The Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency celebrates the first #DocuforumAVAF of the 25th – 26th at the University of Valencia

Valencia, October 16, 2025.- 98 students of the subject “Learning Instruments and Techniques” of the first year of the Bachelor’s Degree in Economics of the University of Valencia (UV) have participated in the first #DocuforumAVAF of the 2025 – 2026 academic year at Valencian universities, held by the Training team of the Valencian Anti-Fraud Agency (AVAF).

 

In the #DocuforumAVAF the Agency’s staff present the most important objectives and functions of the institution related to the fight against fraud and corruption in the territorial area of the Valencian Community and discuss with the students the importance of prevention, the participation of civil society and institutional controls. Allowing students to reflect on the ethical limits and risks of corruption.

 

Marita Oliver, Training Technician at the AVAF, gave the docuforum held on Thursday, October 16, 2025 from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the UV, with the aim of debating and reflecting with students on the reality of fraud and corruption in public administration and existing prevention tools.

 

These activities are organised in collaboration with the University of Valencia, which is thanked for its interest and willingness to help create a culture of public integrity and rejection of fraud and corruption. On this occasion, the training activity was possible thanks to the collaboration, one more year, of professors Jorge Latorre and Vicente Baldoví.

 

The AVAF maintains its proposal for public debates with university students, in their training process to carry out professional roles in the future that contribute to civil society. For this reason, training actions that reinforce public ethics and the culture of prevention and fight against any conduct that promotes fraud and corruption are considered of great importance.
